Need help negotiating the maze of programs? We can help with Pace/PaceNet, Medicaid, Low Income Subsidies,
Property Tax/Rent Rebate and Social Security.
PACE (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) is a Medicare and Medicaid program that helps
people meet their health care needs in the community instead of going to a nursing home or other care facility. PACE covers
prescription drugs, doctor visits, transportation, home care, check-ups, hospital visits, and even nursing home stays whenever necessary.
Health care services for low-income persons and persons with limited income and high medical expenses.
Medicaid is a joint federal and state program that helps with medical costs for some people with limited income and resources.
Low Income Subsidies
You can get help from the state paying your Medicare premiums. In some cases, Medicare Savings Programs may
also pay Medicare Part A (Hospital Insurance) and Medicare Part B (Medical Insurance) deductibles, coinsurance, and copayments
if you meet certain conditions. If you meet certain income and resource limits, you may qualify for Extra Help from Medicare
to pay the costs of Medicare prescription drug coverage.
Property Tax/Rent Rebates
The rebate program benefits eligible Pennsylvanians age 65 and older; widows and widowers age 50 and older;
and people with disabilities age 18 and older. The income limit is $35,000 a year for homeowners and $15,000 annually for renters,
and half of Social Security income is excluded.
The maximum standard rebate is $650, but supplemental rebates for qualifying homeowners can boost rebates to $975.
